This article provides an independent assessment of the Swivel Sweeper as seen on TV.
Most people were probably introduced for the Swivel Sweeper, like me, through an ad on TV. The Swivel Sweeper is advertised as a wireless, lightweight sweeper that works on all types of floors. He has a quiet engine and four rotating brushes. The sweeper head 360 degrees for easy maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles.
I broken down and bought one about three months ago. I paid $ 19.95 plus S & H. When my sweeper arrived, I could not wait for a test run. The first thing I noticed is that it is definitely light - only two pounds! I tried it on my wooden floor and it worked great - really sliders on the bottom instead of wheels, so that really does not float on wood and laminated surfaces.
My plans as most are crumbs, pet hair and dust bunnies a bit '. The Swivel> Sweeper took care of all these. It's great for hard to reach places like under tables and chairs empty. I am no longer 10 minutes moving chairs for two minutes to sweep the waste.
One thing that is a bit 'of a chore is cleaning sweeper. Emptying the container is fairly easy, but glide on two cards, but then cleans four heads clean. These things are covered with fur / hair / dust bunnies. The Swivel Sweeper comes with a cleaning program created specialspecifically for this work. The tool works fine, but do it by hand, appears to be gross but faster.
One complaint I have heard many times was the battery on the sweeper, which I found to run for about 30-35 minutes out of the box, instead of 45 minutes of advertising on TV. Many people seem to be excessive and therefore effectively dead batteries after a few months. I was careful to take my garbage off the charger after the chargethe recommended recharging time. I also try to discharge the battery completely before recharging.
All in all, the sweeper was worth $ 20 and I would buy another, even if the battery fails. For activities of the fast in the kitchen and living room, is just so much easier to grab the Swivel Sweeper, instead of dragging my vacuum.
